A young child (age 2) was admitted to the hospital Saturday after receiving severe burns because he went down a slide at an elementary school.
You can find the article here, http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/nation/4715995.html . The reason for the burns are explained well in the article so I will quote them here.
Being a father I cannot properly fathom what experiences my family would be going through right now if it had happened to my son. Not that it could mean much but my heart and prayers go out to that little boy and his family.
Considering what the authorities reported I do not see how this could at all be accidental. The best recourse for those involved at this point is to turn themselves in and face the consequences of their actions.
I do not wish to sound cold or heartless to the family of the hurt child from the above statement. I may not be able to fathom much of what they are going through but just from reading this story I am filled with anger. That anger solves nothing just as this post solves nothing. The tragedy in all of this is that no matter the outcome, that boy is burned and his life is forever changed and nothing at all can undo that Saturday on the slide.

Someone had broken into the school, stolen several bottles of industrial-strength drain cleaner and splashed it all over the playground equipment, authorities said.
