Children at Play during Difficult Times
A two post day, haven't done this in a while. But it was warranted. I'm not sure if I have every advocated Charties here before but there are a couple I try to donate to at least once per year. I wish I would do more than that. Even in action, I wish I would get myself more involved. That said these organizations do real good in our world.
They are Child's Play ( http://childsplaycharity.org/ ) and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital ( http://www.stjude.org/ ).
To me giving children an opportunity to grow and flourish and experience life is the greatest of charity.
Child's Play is all about improving the quality of life for hospitalized children through donations of games and toys directly to participating hospital. St. Jude is researching ways to cure serious and many times terminal cases of cancer in children.
Both of these charities are worthy of attention and support.
