Birthday Post
I keep my personal details pretty vague purposefully in case anyone I know happens upon this. The idea behind this blog is a place for private and personal expression without influence. That's also why I don't allow comments, I tried it at first but I found I was being influenced by them.
That said I did want disclose something, sorta. I had a birthday recently and I noticed I never really post about my birthdays. I tend to take the day off from the world on my birthdays. Meaning no work, no school, do whatever or nothing at all. Usually spend it with my wife and kid as they are my greatest gifts every year. Most people expect that I won't be answering the phone, though I do try to because it's good to be grateful to those that remember how ancient you are :) But yeah I pretty much try to have just one day of pure chaos, no plans or at least irresponsible ones ;) Just have fun, enjoy life, and remember how great it is just to have been here another year and hope for another great year to come.
That's really it about that but I did have something else interesting to mention that has me thinking. I noticed that I started this blog around the time my son was born. I'm not sure if at that time that I realized that he might have been an influence to this action but I wouldn't be surprised if he was. He changed so much for the better about my life and about who I am. In fact my main goal in life since his birth is to shed away the old me that was before he came to be simply because who I am invited to be as his father is better. Obviously I don't/won't throw away everything but just some of the things that are incompatible with wanting to be a good dad/role-model/friend/etc. My greatest hopes in life is for my continued joy at being his dad to go on until I'm really really old. Also that my son knows the same joys of a family and of loving and being loved...
