Children

No matter our age we are all children. Just because people grow up doesn't mean that person they were as a child is gone. In the face of every woman and man is the face of a child. Unfortunately not all children have good childhoods so as adults trying to see the child in others may not invoke the most positive of perception. I'm sorry and wish to each in that category a time when they will be healed of that. You could say the above is my attempt at a new perception I wish to have when I look at any other person. I want to see the joy they may have had being young. The innocence they may have had in exploring the world around them. The lack of worry and stress about what 'tomorrow' would bring. In other words I want to see the best in others. I'm tired of cynicism. I'm tired of sarcasm. I'm tired of pessimism. Life is way too short for all of that baggage. I'm not talking about a 'shiny happy people' sort of outlook but more of a well-balanced dose of positive that I hope can bring a consistent sense of inner peace. It's my hope anyway...
